You may be faced with an error message indicating that an error has occurred, but without much detail about the cause; for example: "We got an unexpected status code in the response: 500". In such a case, it will help ProjectBalm engineers to diagnose the problem if you provide the relevant portion of Jira's log file. Here's how you can access that log file.

Instructions

Jira's log file is called atlassian-jira.log, and can be found in the logs sub-directory of your server's home directory.

Alternatively, create a support zip and post it to your support request. Please cause the error to recur just before you create the support zip, so that any error messages appear at the end of the contained log file.
